WWI Design Conclave 2026.
Whistling Woods International's (WWI) School of Creative Arts is all set to host the annual Design Conclave on 10th and 11th September 2026 at its campus in Film City, Goregaon East, Mumbai. The two-day, open-to-all event brings together industry veterans, creative practitioners and emerging designers for a packed schedule of panel discussions, masterclasses, interactive workshops and a showcase of student work, spanning three of WWI's core design disciplines: Animation & Game Design, Fashion & Costume Design, and Visual Communication Design.
This year's edition is built around the theme "Everything, Everyday, Designed," exploring how thoughtful design quietly shapes daily life, from the objects people touch to how they dress, communicate and move through spaces.
Over two days, attendees can expect to encounter incredible learning opportunities in the form of masterclasses and panels featuring leading names in Indian animation and design, including heavyweights such as the International Emmy-nominated filmmaker Vaibhav Kumaresh and Harun Robert of POGO's M.A.D. fame, alongside sessions on character concept art, VFX, tech in fashion, culture-led design, and more.
Running alongside the sessions is a full-day Student Exhibition and Flea Market, giving visitors an unfiltered look at the scale and range of student work, from high-fashion concepts and visual communication projects to live student-built games and animation pieces. The conclave will also feature a dedicated alumni exloring their journeys post graduation, along with a student fashion show and a live music performance.
For many attendees, this showcase doubles as a first, hands-on introduction to what studying design at WWI actually looks like: project-driven, mentorship-led, and closely tied to working professionals in the field. That makes the Design Conclave as much a launchpad for aspiring designers as it is an industry gathering. Students, creative professionals and design enthusiasts are invited to sit in on masterclasses, engage directly with faculty and practitioners, and explore WWI's Animation & Game Design, Fashion & Costume Design, and Visual Communication Design programs up close - a natural first step for anyone weighing where to pursue a design education next.
