Amitabh Bachchan
Amitabh Bachchan has been quite interested in real estate investments for some time and has been buying property in Ayodhya. Reportedly, the actor recently made his 4th big property purchase in Ayodhya, acquiring a plot of about 25,000 square feet at a cost of nearly Rs 40 crore. His fourth and yet another expensive purchase in Ayodhya is in the same vicinity as another high-end investment.
As per HT, this deal in Ayodhya by Big B came just a few days after he invested Rs 10 crore each in a real estate firm owned by Bollywood producer Anand Pandit. According to Mint, Ayodhya seems to be Big B's favourite place. Before the Ram Mandir inauguration last year, he reportedly paid Rs 4.54 crore. He also made a deal involving a Rs 14.5 crore investment in the Sarayu project and acquired a 54,000 square feet plot in the city, which was registered under his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan's trust.
Bachchan has been investing a lot in real estate recently. Last year, he and his son Abhishek Bachchan bought 10 apartments worth a total of Rs 25 crore. Actor and Rajya Sabha member Jaya Bachchan shared the total value of their assets last year in her election affidavit. It showed that their combined assets were worth Rs 1,578 crore.

On the work front, there had been reports that Big B will not do another season of KBC, with Salman Khan replacing him as the new host. But later, mid-day learnt that there is no truth to this news.
When Mid-day contacted people in the know about the reported changes in the host of the long-running show KBC, we found out that there is no truth to the rumours. A well-placed industry source confirmed that Salman Khan will not be replacing Mr Bachchan as the host.
After wrapping season 16 of the quiz show, Bachchan shared an update on the upcoming season in March this year. "Work is the reliever of one's destiny⦠and the next season preparations have begun in real earnest for the SHOW⦠so the initial step be the promo to invite for registrations (sic)," the icon wrote on his blog. In the same month, he confirmed that he will return as the host for the upcoming season of the popular game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati.
