The actor will be accompanied by wife Kiran Rao, co-actors Kareena Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, R Madhavan, director Rajkumar Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra during the visit.
Apparently having no plans for a New Year party, Khan will interact with army jawans during a special screening of the film in Paradise Cinema which is being organised by the GOC (Eastern Command) and GOC (Bengal).
"He will meet jawans after a special screening of the film for jawans on the eve of New Year. This is for a fund-raising programme for an army school for physically challenged children," an army source said.
Aamir will also visit a radio station and a multiplex to meet fans, before leaving for Mumbai early on January 1.
A fortnight ago, no one could recognise Khan after he roamed around the streets of Kolkata disguising as a young fan of former Team India captain Sourav Ganguly - as a stunt to promote the film. But this time around, Aamir will greet fans sans the disguise after arriving here on December 31, sources close to the actor said. Loosely based on Chetan Bhagat's bestseller "Five Point Someone", comedy-drama "3 Idiots" has been well-received by the critics and audience.
The film, which hit theatres on December 25, has collected over Rs 100 crore in the first four days of its release.
