In response to the report 'Juhi Chawla cheated' producer Rajiv Gupta of Narmada Films has stated that they do not owe the actress any money.



Juhi had shot for his public service campaign, Beti Bachao Abhiyaan (Save The Girl Child), initiated by government of Madhya Pradesh.

He says, "We have not issued any cheque so the question of its bouncing doesn't arise." The actress had asked for a nominal fee with the payee name to be left blank. Juhi wanted to directly hand it over to an NGO she supports.

However, the cheque, which she later handed over to the Asian Cancer Foundation bounced.

We managed to get a copy of the cheque (No 005051, drawn on ICICI Bank, Four Bungalows, Andheri West branch) and found that the account is held byu00a0 Dhansukh Jaini who was the line producer for the campaign in Mumbai, and not by Gupta's production house as reported.
