Starlet Saidah Jules points out why she had to change her name for B-Town

Saidah Jules is one of the several foreign imports trying to find a foothold in B-Town. The starlet who features in Kalpana Lajmi's upcoming woman-centric film, apparently had to change her real name to fit into Bollywood.

The Russia-born German-bred Juliet Glazkova became Saidah Jules and has made Mumbai her home. "I changed my name because I felt it was too anglicised for Bollywood. I liked the Arabic name Saidah and added Jules," she explains.

"Initially it was spirituality that drew me to India. But I always wanted to be an actress from childhood. It was a dream even though none of my family members were in any way connected to the entertainment world and expressed their reservations about it," she adds.

Saidah was seen in films like Pyaar Impossible and Right Yaa Wrong in brief roles besides doing ad campaigns. Apart from acting, she's also honing her dancing skills with item numbers a necessary calling nowadays.

As part of her preparations she has learnt Hindi as well and done a course at an acting school in Mumbai due to which she got her first break in Pyaar Impossible. "But it was a small role, I am now looking forward to bigger stuff. Hopefully Kalpana's film for which I have already begun shooting for will put me back in the scheme of things."

The actress also features in Girish Malik's film with Purab Kohli and Tannishtha Chatterjee as well as another project with Ranvir Shorey. u00a0
