Fame can be quite heady. But Avika Gor knows that it's time to move on and there's lot more in store for her. As the little actress and television's favourite young bahu makes an exit from Balika Vadhu with a five-year leap in the serial, Avika speaks to CS about what's next:
Long inning
I am feeling a little sad that I won't be a part of Balika Vadhu anymore. But if I miss them (cast and crew) too much, I will go visit them or call. Actually, this leap was to take place after the first 80-90 episodes. But because of the viewer interest in Anandi and Jagya's character, it is happening after 500 episodes. So there's nothing to feel sad about. In fact, it makes me really happy when people shower love on me and call me back different names like laado, bindni, phutri, etc. They tell me I'm a good actor, so I'll move on to other things. And whether it'll be films, serials or reality shows, you'll have to wait and watch.
Two's fun
People say I've missed out on things that other children do, but I don't think so. I went to school everyday and would play with my friends daily. Shooting was also fun and Avinash (Jagya) and I would fight non-stop; it was great fun. In fact, since he's in my school, I will see him on and off. And in my free time, I love watching films and television. Tom and Jerry is my favourite cartoon series; the two remind me of Anandi and Jagya!
Winning the universe
When I grow up, I want to become Miss Universe. The next destination then will be Bollywood. Beauty queens enjoy three major things - beautiful looks, worldwide fame and modelling. All these things need mental and physical preparation, which I've already started. I study a lot and will complete my graduation. As for physical fitness, I learnt yoga in my summer vacations last year while this year I learnt aerobics, which I practise every morning for an hour. And I'm good at dancing since I've been training for it since I was four years old.
