Yesterday at the music launch of Peepli [Live], all eyes were searching for the director of the film, Anusha Rizvi. The first time filmmaker was absent from the last eventu00a0-- the unveiling of the film -- sparking rumours of trouble between her and producer Aamir Khan.

Reveals an insider, "Anusha was not happy with the whole promotional strategy including the promos that had been created. Even though Aamir had called her and the entire marketing team, and had shared his plans and promos with them. But the director was not happy, and to make her disapproval apparent, she'd skipped the first release of the promo at a suburban hotel last month."

Five hour meet
When Aamir learnt about Anusha's grievances, he decided to sit with her and explain his point of view. Adds the source, "Aamir travelled to Delhi to sort out this problem. He met Anusha and her husband, Peepli [Live]'s associate director Mehmood at their residence at Jamia Milia and over a meeting that lasted for five hours, he explained to them the pros and cons of promoting films. He also made her understand that as a director and a creative person, she was too possessive of her worku00a0 and probably needed to step back and see what was best for the film."

Strategy
He took pain to explain to the Rizvis why the promos needed to be cut in a basic way, and the strategy was according to certain marketing ideas. "Aamir told her that he understood what she wanted, but asked her to trust his judgement. Anusha finally understood and accepted thatu00a0 her producer was doing what was best for the film. He then had a media event for Peepli [Live] with Anusha and Mehmood in Delhi."u00a0 Her presence at the event held on Tuesday was a sign that now all was well between them.

Today, Anusha is thrilled with the positive feedback she is getting on her film.u00a0 A source from Aamir Khan Productions confirms, "Everything is sorted out today and Anusha is very happy about the positive response she's getting because of the innovative promos."u00a0u00a0
