Actress Koel Purie gets engaged to French boyfriend

Koel gets engaged to her French beau, Laurent

In a hush-hush ceremony, Koel Purie (anchor of TV talk show On The Couch) got engaged to her French boyfriend Laurent Rinchet last Saturday night in Delhi.

Apart from her parents, Aroon and Rekha Purie, Koel's close friends were present at the ceremony.

A source close to Koel spills the beans and says, "Koel met Laurent through a common friend a few months back and clicked immediately.

However, things got serious between the two only recently. Since Koel has been busy with her chat show, Laurent would make it a point to try and meet her as much as possible.

They would go out for dinners and chill at home when she wasn't working."

The source adds that Koel and Laurent have several things in common. "They both love travelling and indulging in adventure sports.

Apart from good looks, Laurent also impressed Koel with his culinary skills on several occasions. "

Laurent, who is into civial aviation, met Koel's parents a few months back.

"They loved him. Koel's friends also approved of Laurent and complimented her on how good they look together.

The engagement was done European style with Koel and Laurent exchanging rings."

The ceremony was so private that Koel apparently hasn't yet broken the news to many of her friends. "She wanted to keep it a very low key affair. It all happened very quickly."

Last night, Koel and Laurent hosted a private party in Delhi for close friends.
