While most stars would throw a grand party on something as significant as their 10th wedding anniversary, Ajay Devgan chose to celebrate it at home quietly with family and close friends.
This time it's a double celebration his wedding anniversary and his mom Veena's birthday (Feb 19).
Never been flashyTalking about it, a friend close to Ajay says, "Ajay has never believed in hosting big bashes.
For him, celebrations mean spending time with loved ones wife Kajol, daughter Nysa, parents Veeru and Veena, sisters Neelam, Kavita and nephews, sis-in-law Tanishaa and mother-in-law Tanuja.
This year, though he was shooting for Prakash Jha's Rajniti in Bhopal, Ajay suddenly decided to wind up his shoot early and come back to Mumbai Monday night.
This is also Ajay and Kajol's 10th anniversary (February 24). Ajay a complete romantic, wanted to make the day very special for Kajol."
Change of plansThe friend further informs, "Kajol and Nysa had joined Ajay in Bhopal last week. Initially, they were to return yesterday evening and celebrate their anniversary in-flight.
Ajay had initially planned something very romantic for Kajol on air. Ajay is extremely attached to his mother and was feeling bad that he couldn't celebrate her birthday.
Ajay specially flew back for his mom and celebrated her birthday again in Mumbai with cake and a special gift for her. He goes back to Bhopal on March 7.
After finalising details for his home production with Rohit Shetty yesterday afternoon, Ajay and Kajol went out for dinner at a 7-star hotel in Juhu last night."
In Rajniti, Ajay plays a modern-day Karna (a character from the epic, Maha- bharata) and has been building up his physique for that.
