Diamond merchant and film financier Bharat Shah's son Rajiv's wed model Himani Rawat at the Mahalaxmi Turf Club on Thursday. Whileu00a0 invites were sent out to everyone in B-Town, most of the top stars chose to skip the reception.

Excuses, excuses!A source at the event says, "Although personal messages and invites were sent out by Shah, most of the A-listers gave late responses and excuses for not making it to the shaadi."
"Shah Rukh Khan sent a message saying that he was in New Delhi promoting his film Billu Barber and would be unable to attend," says the source. But the truth is that SRK was in town and even threw a dinner party at Mannat for close friends. The party went on till the wee hours of the morning."
"Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif were also to attend. But Sallu was supposedly shooting in Panvel, while Katrina was shooting elsewhere. Both stars told Shah that they would make it late but didn't turn up."
Among those present were Kamal Hassan, Mallika Sherawat with brother Vikram Singh, Madhuri Dixit, Yash Chopra, Dino Morea, Abbas-Mustaan, Rekha, Nagma, Ayesha Takia and Farhan Azmi, Rajkumar Santoshi, Govinda with wife Sunita, Boney Kapoor and Sridevi, Subhash and Rehana Ghai and Celina Jaitly.
