A series of marathon sequences filmed underwater feature in the upcoming Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon-starrer 'Raabta'. The stars specially learnt swimming and scuba diving for Dinesh Vijan's romance drama.
Siddharth Singh (one half of the writer-duo Siddharth-Garima) says, "Water is the common thread that runs between the two characters. It connects them. It provides the perfect backdrop for soul-searching. The sea is calming and soothing, just like their (the characters') love. Every film has a setting, in this case, it is the water. The protagonists are always either in the sea or along the banks."

The film has been shot on the banks of River Danube in Budapest and on the beachfront of Mauritius.

Siddharth and co-writer Garima Wahal have previously worked on Brothers (2015) and Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela (2013). They began writing the story for Raabta seven years ago. "We spent a lot of time in Goa, Alibaug and Murud Janjira while working on the script, which inspired us to make water an integral part of ther film. The story has followed its own course," says Siddharth.
