The recently held Blender's Pride Chandigarh Fashion Week, powered by Gitanjali, was indeed a power platform bringing together the who's-who from the fashion fraternity.
International designer Ed Hardy and leading Indian designersu00a0 Mamta Josan, Nida Mahmood, Jattinn Kochhar, Anju Modi showcased their designs and work. Shahwar Ali and Zulfi Sayed walked the ramp for Ed Hardy.
While designer Nidhi Gupta presented her Sattvik collection, which was a blend of fashion and tradition, Nida Mahmood's collection was inspired by the matchboxes of India, followed by Jattin Kochar's Blackout, which had glamorous evening wear.
Designer Anju Modi's An Ode to Benaras collection paying tribute to the royal Gharanas of Benaras was creative to say the least. The other designers who showcased their designs were Esta La Mota by Anuradha and Mehange by Ashu.
The concluding day of the fashion week had Mugdha Godse and Harman Baweja walking the ramp with the physically challenged children of Liliane Fonds. Designer Manali Jagtap presented her Turquoise Couture collection which focused on the glamorous Indian wedding and had Madhur Bhandarkar, Rahul Vaidya, Nauheed Cyrusi and Mugdha Godse walking the ramp for her.
The day also saw veteran designer Rina Dhaka showcasing her collection, Couture 2010.u00a0With so much action happening, the Fashion Week certainly created waves in the fashion world.
