Partner director David Dhawan's son Varun Dhawan will be making his acting debut in a Karan Johar film. Karan has signed Varun and another newcomer for a film that he plans to start shooting in 2011. The director of the film and the rest of the star cast are yet to be finalised.
David had always stated that his elder son Rohit will be a director and his younger son Varun, an actor. Rohit is now directing Desi Boyz, starring Akshay Kumar, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone.
