Fardeen Khan has been slogging around the clock shooting for Rohit Shetty's All The Best in the day at Madh Island and attending to dad Feroz Khan at night at the Breach Candy Hospital.

But he found a novel way of doing it travelling by ferry right from his doorstep to the shoot at the Madh jetty where the shoot was going on.

Says a source from the sets, "Fardeen is a really devoted son. Last week, when he was shooting at Madh island, the first couple of days were really difficult.

He'd come by car from Juhu to Madh (a 90-minute drive) for the film, drive down home in the evening, get changed and leave for the hospital (which is in the city).

As a result of the constant travelling and stress because of his father being very unwell, Fardeen lost a lot of weight."

But after two days, Fardeen found out that if he paid the ferries extra money (Rs 500) they'd pick him up from his home (which is on the beach), drop him at the Madh jetty and in the evening would pick up from the jetty to drop him again right at his home.

"Going both ways takes 10 minutes, in this way Fardeen saved more than two hours of traveling."

Kumar Mangat, co-producer of All The Best (along with Ajay Devgan), confirms Fardeen's travelling arrangements and adds, "Fardeen is one of the most professional, sincere and hard-working actors I have ever met. Initially, he would drive down for the shoot but after he took the boat he saved a lot of time.

He's also a loving and devoted son. He needed to go to the hospital and spend time with his dad at night. Once he reached home in the evening, he would freshen up and leave for the hospital.

But Fardeen never once complained or came late for the shoot. By travelling on the ferry, he saved a lot of time. He was doing double duty and yet remained committed to the job."
