Model turned actor Mrinalini Sharma is all set for her next release Hide N Seek. This pretty lady is a relative newcomer to Bollywood with a total of three films in her kitty.u00a0 CS chats with her about the five things she's learnt as a beginner:
1 Punctuality
I was always quite punctual, but this industry has taught me a lot about the value of time. When you are acting in a film, you need to realise that someone is investing a lot of money in you. The least you can do is to respect that person's time and money by reporting on time on the sets, even if it means leaving home half an hour earlier. They count it as professionalism.
2 Respect
You need to be polite to every person to the sets, right from the director to the light boy to the spot boys. After all, every odd person on the sets is probably working harder than you to make you look good in the film. As an actor you should realise this.
3 Beauty mantra
Make sure that your skin and hair are clean and healthy at all times. Your make-up man and stylist shouldn't spot bags under your eyes when they start working on you. Get enough sleep to look fresh before the camera. This makes their job a lot easier.
4 Know your lines
Learn your lines before you reach the sets as it helps you concentrate on your performance. When you know your dialogues by heart, you focus only on the shot and not on remembering your lines.
5 Ensure teamspirit
As a professional actor, it's important to behave well with all your co-stars. This is imperative as film-making is team work and good behaviour ensures goodwill and a positive environment. You need to show integrity at every step as it helps the final product.
