Fox trots once again

Despite production hassles, the Deol-Rampal psychological thriller gets a new lease of life

Though there has been a major upheaval in Zee Motion Pictures with several heads rolling recently, their dead-end project Fox is being injected with a new lease of life.

The psychological thriller starring Sunny Deol, Arjun Rampal, Udita Goswami and Sagarika Ghatge is being revived for the final shoot schedule.

Says the film's director Deepak Tijori, "We were taken by surprise by the events at Zee. Even the executive producers of the film have gone. But the new team is determined to complete Fox."

He adds, "There are only five days of shooting remaining. We're working on getting the combination dates of lead actors Sunny and Arjun. Sunny is shooting in London this month for The Man."

Though the film was lying incomplete, the producersu00a0 had strangely darted out a release in January stating that Fox would release on March 27 when not a single frame had been shot for the past six months.

Revived

Says a source, "When the shoot was stuck, it was assumed that the current market scenario and the recession had prompted it. But as the producers were not willing to spell out the details, the project appeared at a dead-end. But now the production house itself has been shaken and stirred."

The film is produced by Zee along with Rohit Kumar (son of filmmaker Mohan Kumar). "In the new scenario we will have to be executive producers as well but at least there is hope that Fox will not be foxed by the happenings," quips Tijori.
