The Chinese New Year is here and it's time for celebrations for Meiyang Chang. For the Chinese actor-anchor whose family has been living in India for three generations, it's time to bond with family. He tells CS, "I am celebrating the New Year at my grandmother's place in Tardeo. We have a traditional family dinner on the New Year's Day (yesterday), but I was busy at night, so I made sure I spent the whole of Saturday with her. A feast of prawn pakodas, meat ball soup, fried rice, vegetable dishes, etc was planned especially for me by my grandmother. And at night, there was a bigger party with other relatives in Malad."
The busy singing dentist couldn't buy his grandmom a gift and so plans to visit her again this week with a present of her choice. But what Chang is really missing are the celebrations in Kolkata. "Kolkata has a big Chinese community, unlike in Mumbai. I remember how we used to visit the Chinese temple, party and watch the famous dragon dance," reminisces Chang. Well, even if low-key, Chang, we wish you all the luck this New Year.u00a0
