For his look in Milan Luthria's film, Imran Khan took a lot of inspiration from Jackie Shroff. He says, My character is that of a boy who grows up in Dongri in the mid-1980s


I felt that he too would be a Bollywood fan like others of his generation. Jackie Shroff was the king of style at that time. I have taken inspiration from his leather jacket and pointy-toed shoes that had zippers on them. You will also see me with a handkerchief on my neck a la Anil Kapoor of Mashal."u00a0
