Abhi, nahi yaad?

When writer-director Manish Gupta pitched his script The Stoneman Murders to producers Bobby Bedi and Sheetal Vinod Talwar, he wanted to cast Abhishek Bachchan in the lead.

The actor and Manish had gotten to know each other on the sets of Sarkar for which Manish wrote the screenplay and dialogues.

But post Sarkar, it became a case of 'Manish who?' for Abhishek. He had ignored the filmmaker when he approached him for his other project Saab, Chai Paani as well.

As a result, Kay Kay Menon was cast instead. The Stoneman Returns, which releases February 13 also stars Arbaaz Khan, Rukhsar and Vikram Gokhale.

Desi Bebo

Kareena Kapoor will feature on the cover of a leading international magazine. The article will talk about 'brand Bebo' and her performances in Hindi films. The photo session will be done in Mauritius.

The costumes of international brands Chanel, Valentino and Gaultier will be air-dashed from Italy. "An Italian stylist will also be present during the shoot," says a source. But the actress wants a local make-up artiste for her face and hair." How very, very patriotic!

Zarina Wahab on Thursday afternoon at the Patel supermarket near Mehboob Studios, Bandra. Casually dressed with spectacles, she was overheard asking for olives. May we add she looked smashing. Wonder why hubby Aditya has a roving eye!!

In honour of glamour

B-Town hairstyling and make-up couple Bharat and Doris Godambe are hosting a hair and make-up fashion week from February 9 to 11 at Rangsharda, Bandra Reclamation from February 9 to 11. This step is to let others don the looks of the stars.

The duo will be sharing styling tips of the various B-Town folk they have worked with for several decades. They will also be holding an awards nite in April to honour all those unsung names that make stars look drop-dead gorgeous so that everyone knows the names behind the star's looks.
