Hues and the blues

Back to the future
The 1980s called for Padmini Kolhapure. It wants the top back. The former actress was spotted at buddy Poonam Dhillon's birthday bash wearing something that was hi-fashion two decades ago.
Sirf ek sawaal

A bitchy actress called us to say, "Akshay Kumar has paid 30 crores of advance tax. And he claims he charges Rs 50 crore a filmu2026 so is he a liar or a tax evader?" Any answers, Akki?
Mallika Milkshake
Siren Mallika Sherawat now has a milkshake named after her. Sherawat has joined Victoria Beckham, David Beckham and Paris Hilton in the shake stakes.
The actress visited Millions of Milkshakes, a funky Hollywood milkshake bar, in West Hollywood and was honoured with her own sweet treat.
The Mallika Shake features blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, chocolate sauce and whipped cream.

The actress who was in LA, was also pictured making a milkshake. We think there may not be too many hot-blooded males saying they are lactose intolerant.
Love is... sharing styles
Love is: sporting the same style. We saw Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor with scarves/stoles around their necks. Bad idea, It must make Hurman think: Hmmm, whom should I strangle first? pics/u00a0 pradeep bandekar
Yek kya hua... kaise hua... yeh na socho
B-Town folks are in need of Prozac. They are all feeling a little disappointed that the teams of the three stars who own IPL teams all lost their first matches in South Africa.
But these filmwaalahs always find something to smile about (frown lines look bad) and they want to send this message tou00a0 the starry team owners.
Skin-deep past
When we reported that Sonam Kapoor was doing a skin whitening ad that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was first considered for, Ash's spokesperson sent us a retort which said that Ash hadn't been replaced and as principle would never endorse any fairness cream.
But look what someone mailed us a picture of Ash endorsing the same skin whitening ad by the same company that Sonam is now the face for (and also an international soap endorsed by Ash speaks of similar skin whitening agents). The thing about the past is, just when you think it's dead and buried it comes out to bite you in the rear.
Phir se for Firaaq
Firaaq, Nandita Das's critically acclaimed directorial debut, won its eighth international award at the 28th Istanbul Film Festival that concluded on April 19, 2009.

The film, which deals with the aftermath of the 2002 Gujarat riots, was awarded the coveted Special Jury Prize for films dealing with Human Rights.
Nandita Das, who received the award, said her true validation had been the heartfelt audience reaction, but a further endorsement from eminent film makers in the jury was even more encouraging.
Firaaq has already won awards in Thessaloniki in Greece, Singapore (three awards), Dubai, Karachi and San Jose, California, and after its recent release in India, continues to be screened around the world.
