That Shammi Kapoor had been tweeting Deepika, asking to meet her for quite some time now is well-known. What few know is that Deepika finally managed to meet the legendary actor yesterday. The lissome actress visited Shammi's residence in Walkeshwar, had dinner and spent more than two hours with the actor and his family.

Apparently, Shammi and Deepika discussed his favourite performances of hers, Om Shanti Om and Love Aaj Kal. They also discussed his most famous films and his trademark dancing style. Shammi also advised Deepika on the ways of the Hindi film industry.

Shammi was the one to first announce on Twitter that he would love to meet Deepika. Deepika of course replied that she was honoured. The two then worked around Deepika's schedule and fixed Tuesday for the meeting.
