About Kurbaan being a flop
"I attribute a lot of the film's failure to myself. I panicked because there was a comparison being made with New York. So I said, 'I have to project it as a love story'. There was an element of sexual violence in our promotions which I think worked against the film. I feel I let the film down in the way I projected it. I feel I let Rensil down."
When asked in a 'recorded question' section if he was gay and "with Shah Rukh"
"I understand there's a lot of conjecture about my sexuality and for me to talk about it but my only answer to that is: if I asked that girl (who asked him if he was "with SRK"), 'If I accused you of being with your brother, how would that make you feel?'. Because that's the emotion I have with Shah Rukh. He's a father figure. He's my elder brother. When people insinuate otherwise, it angers me to no end.
Conjecture about me... about my orientation... that's your prerogative. I'm a public figure and I'm open to that kind of discussion but I don't have to talk about it. Whether whatever 'sexual I am, it's my prerogative to remain silent about it... it's my privacy. I don't talk about it. I WON'T talk about it. And whether I am married or not, shouldn't be anyone's problem because darling, you might get married and break up in two years, so God bless you..."

Why our awards ceremonies don't match up to Hollywood standards
"They are ridiculous. There's no dignity, there's no grace. There's no fraternity feeling. Only the nominees who are 'apparently' going to win, turn up. It's only about star performances, TRPs, it's so upsetting. I visited the Golden Globes last year and felt so ashamed of all of us.... All of us are so stupid and idiotic."
