Patralekhaa
Patralekhaa has joined hands with an Indian clothing brand for a campaign that encourages employment of local artisans. Indian textile company, Dagga, by Hands of India, employs local female artistes in a bid to encourage them to make a living.
Happy to lend support to the company, the actor tells mid-day, "I am glad that they thought I could be their face. I love wearing outfits that are made by artisans because they are unique. [I'm happy that] brands have collaborated with organisations that promote such weavers. I am keen to learn about their working methods too."
The actor is set to work on the campaign without a remuneration. "In small towns, earning a living is hard. I was made abreast of certain statistics and realised that women are feeding their families [in remote places]. This is my way of contributing to society."
