Madhur Bhandarkar took to Twitter to thank the Central Board of Film Certification after his film Indu Sarkar got the green light for a theatrical release.
The film ran into trouble with the board initially, but was cleared by the revising committee with few cuts. "Indu Sarkar has been cleared with few cuts. Happy and relieved," he wrote. Bhadarkar's film hit several roadblocks after Congressmen protested its release, fearing it would show Indira Gandhi in poor light.
