Madhuri tells CS about her first foray in Bollywood and how working in the industry has made her wiser and tougher:

WHO: Madhuri Bhattacharrya
WHAT: Speaks about her debut film Prem Kaa Game and living up to her name

A husband-stealer?
As long as this 'hot' label is just an image, I am cool with it. But yes, although this tantalising tag comes with its share of limelight, it has its dark side too. I can sense the slight discomfort of wives and girlfriends of some of my close male buddies. They suddenly seem to be getting apprehensive about my harmless, friendly interaction with their mates. But I know the truth and don't worry myself too much with what they are thinking. It is great to be in the spotlight and now that I have learnt how to play Prem Kaa Game, I am here to survive and succeed.

Game plan
I have surely reached where I set out for. Prem Kaa Game has been a beautiful beginning, and I am here to stay. I am really happy that the industry has reacted very positively to my potential. My first film is about to release and I am presently reading six scripts from well-known production houses, which reflects the reaction of the trade to the film. Like any actor, I want to play a variety of roles with the best filmmakers in our industry. But being a die-hard romantic, I would love to play roles like the ones Meg Ryan played in Sleepless in Seattle and Addicted to Love.

All in the name
The name Madhuri Dixit has been iconic and inspiring for any newcomer. I guess that is why, post her stardom in the 80s and early 90s, so many girls like me were named after her. It is surely a heavy responsibility to live up to a name so legendary. But it is also motivating to try and reach where our peers have in the past. I will put in more than 100 per cent in whatever I do and make sure the name retains its dignity.
