Fashion designer Mana Shetty, wife of popular actor Suniel Shetty, is to host a one-day fundraiser exhibition Araaish here Wednesday in aid of the Save the Children India Foundation, set up by her late mother. The foundation works for the welfare of underprivileged children.
Though the event has been taking place in Mumbai and other cities since the past three years, it is making its debut in the capital this time, and Mana is confident that she will get a good response.
"I hope we can get as many people as we can get in. It will make a difference if we have the buzz and the crowd. It will create a lot of positive energy," Mana said.
Save The Children Foundation was created by Mana's mother in 1988.
"My mother started her NGO out of sheer passion and commitment. Suniel and I have always been involved with it but in a quieter way. In fact Suniel has always been more involved with it. He has been the brand ambassador of Save The Children. I was always behind the scenes. But after my mother's death, I thought I must take her dream forward. I didn't want her passion to die. So my siblings Isha and Rahul also joined in," she added.
