WHAT'S IT ABOUT: Paida karne waale se badaa hota hai paalnewala! This B-Town adage doesn't hold truer than in this story about two alien babies reaching Earth as the only reminder of their dead planets.
One gets a good upbringing and becomes Metro City do-gooder Metro Man (Pitt) while the other lands in a jail for the criminally gifted and becomes the brilliant MegaMind (Ferrell).
In the battle of brain versus brawn, brawn usual KOs its opponent into submission making Megamind the least successful supervillain. Oh, the guy tries his best... he does. It's just that the perfect villain and the perfect hero can't co-exist.
During one of their fights, Megamind uses reporter Roxanne Ritchi (Fey) to lure his foe to an observatory. Turns out, copper is Metro Man's kryptonite. Our villain fires a death ray gun, killing his competition.
With nothing more left to stand in his way, Megamind starts looting the city. He soon gets bored when he finds that he's lost his job as a supervillain (no superhero to fight).
A whole lot of blah later, he inadvertently creates a superguy out of Roxie's cameraman Hal (Hill), who he convinces to become a superhero.

The guy names himself Tighten. While disguising himself as a museum curator, Megamind begins to fall in love with the reporter and starts wooing her.

Hal tries, too, but she spurns him. Eventually, Megamind's true identity is discovered and Roxie gets into trouble when Tighten decides it's more fun being the villain.
And there's that niggling detail about Metro Man not being dead after all. Have I said too much?
WHAT'S HOT: Dreamworks Animation ups the ante as far as animation quality and detailing is concerned. The powerful line-up of the voice cast is the film's biggest highlight. Tina Fey and Will Ferrell complement each other well while Pitt plays a pleasant enough Metro Man. The 3D is efficient and helps carry the story forward.
WHAT'S NOT: You have Ben Stiller on board and give him precious little to do. Just not done, Mr McGrath. Moreover, there's so much we have already seen in previous films. And the Superman angle is just so cheesy!
WHAT TO DO: It's sufficiently entertaining, mildly funny and somewhat charming. And you really don't mind if you don't get blown away by the experience.
