The musical journey of the legendary American band, The Eagles has been chronicled in a documentary film History of the Eagles - The Story Of An American Band, which releases this weekend on telly.

>> The Eagles was formed in Los Angeles, California in 1971 by Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner.

>>They have seven number-one singles, six Grammys, five American Music Awards, and six number one albums in their kitty. This made the Eagles one of the most successful musical acts of the 1970s.u00a0
