Kajol recently impressed the crew of Siddharth Anand's Hindi remake of Stepmom when she shot for a music video for the film over four days. Dharma Productions had bought the rights of Elvis Presley's Jailhouse Rock for the video and choreographers Bosco Caesar had come up with very energetic steps to match the rhythm. When they showed her the steps, Kajol was initially apprehensive that they may cause her injury. Bosco and Caesar then changed the steps and toned down the tempo. However, Jailhouse rock is Kajol's favourite song and she soon gave in to its rhythm. The final steps were very close to what Bosco and Caesar had come up with in the first place.
Kajol may have been very enthusiastic about dancing to the song in her black trousers, white shirt and a hat, but that did not stop the unit from keeping a close watch on her. In fact, director Siddharth Anand decided to do away with a particular sequence in which Kajol had to dance over a piano. Kajol had no qualms about it, but Siddharth was very worried. It was Kajol who persuaded him to not change it and even did the sequence in just two takes.
The Hindi remake of Stepmom has Arjun Rampal as the man stuck between his ex-wife Kajol and his girlfriend Kareena Kapoor.
