Prernaa Arora and Abhishek Kapoor at loggerheads over Kedarnath release

Producers Abhishek Kapoor and Prernaa Arora are at loggerheads over the release of Kedarnath. A source says, "It all started when Abhishek learnt about a hush-hush meeting that Prernaa had with Shah Rukh Khan to assure him that her film wouldn't clash with his dwarf film. It irked Abhishek, who took to Twitter last week to announce that Kedarnath would hit screens on schedule." "To all my friends in the media, Kedarnath is on schedule for 21st December, 2018," tweeted Kapoor.

While an insider reveals that Kapoor and Arora are not on talking terms, the latter says they will have a discussion on the release date next month. "We are partners and we respect each other. The second schedule of Kedarnath got over recently. We will discuss the possibilities of changing the release date after the first week of January," says Arora, hinting that she's in no mood for complying with Kapoor's date.

There's buzz that Arora is considering a December 7 release. "It's not true. I'll have to meet the director [Kapoor] and decide. We had planned to release Kedarnath at the end of the year. I have great respect for Shah Rukh sir. As a producer, I will take the responsibility of doing what's best for my film. If some adjustments can help my movie, I will make them."

Kapoor remained unavailable for comment.
