Titled Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, the film will go on the floors next year
Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is all set to make a biopic on one of India's great athletes, Milkha Singh. Prasoon Joshi will help Rakeysh script the film. Tentatively titled Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, the film will trace Milkha's journey of 75 years - from childhood, to his rise to international fame to his current post as Director of Sports in Punjab. It will also have actual footage of Milkha's wins and will be shot in India, Pakistan and several other countries. Milkha has given his blessing to the project and agreed to share personal anecdotes with the production team.
Rakeysh is yet to cast the actor who will play Milkha Singh as he is looking for someone who will be willing to spare the dates required so he can be given a completely different look altogether.
