Me, Myself and I: Palak in Singh Is Kinng |
MTV Roadies 6.0 |
Of course, there's no doubt in anyone's (who has seen the music video of the track) mind that Palak and the bride in Singh Is Kinng are one and the same person.
Of course, we're just not content with simply saying that. We're giving you photographic evidence to back those claims.
We tried getting through to Palak, but she remained inaccessible. Calls to her mother, Mrs Lakhwinder Kaur, who lives in Chandigarh, confirmed what we had been sure of all along.
Mrs Kaur said, "Yes, my daughter did do the Bhootni Ke song in Singh Is Kinng. She has been doing theatre since Std 8. I am proud of my daughter that she has got as far without the help of any godfather."
Show historyInterestingly, Palak was voted out of MTV Roadies 6.0 twice. She returned first on the merit of a task successfully completed and the second time because of a caveat in an envelope.
The aggressive Ms Kaur was close to getting shunted out for kicking her fellow contestants. She is currently still on the show.
What they said
A RAGHU RAMu00a0- Creator MTV Roadies
When told that the girl in the Bhootni Ke song was Palak, A Raghu Ram says, "I have heard of it. It doesn't matter to me.
If I had known, I probably would have interviewed her differently. But that's all there is to it. It wouldn't have made a difference to her inclusion.
She went through the auditioning fair and square. And she would have made the cut, regardless. It's not a problem."
