Recent reports have it that Prince William (27) and his girlfriend Kate Middleton (28) will probably announce their engagement in early June. However, with Kate's dreams of getting married in Scotland dashed, the couple are busy hunting for a new venue. Here's bringing you the couple's romantic timeline:
>> 2001: Kate met Prince William at the University of St Andrews. They soon started a relationship.
>> February 2006: It was announced that Kate would receive her own 24-hour security detail supplied by the Royalty and Diplomatic Protection Department. It fuelled specualtions of an engagement, which never occurred. And neither was Kate granted an allowance to fund this security.
>> December 2006: Kate attended Prince William's Passing Out Parade at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst as an official royal guest.
