Salman Khan recently flew down a team of four doctors to Sri Lanka to perform cataract operations at two remote villages. Salman has been shooting for Ready in the island nation for the past couple of months and has got very close to the locals. So when he learnt that the towns of Vavuniya and Jaffna were in severe need of ophthalmologists, he immediately set about to help them through his Being Human charity. He flew down the doctors, the equipment they needed and the after care medications. The doctors performedu00a0 190 operations on the first day and 500 operations on the subsequent days. Salman's co-star in the film, Asin, also visited the two towns with Salman and The First Lady of Sri Lanka, Madam Shiranthi Wickramasinghe Rajapaksa.
