Boney, who was present at the event reveals, "Sometime back, Salman told me that he wanted to do something for kids at these remand houses. That's when some of our common political friends and I discussed what we could do. Salman got his NGO attached to this cause and we discussed the logistics. We came to the conclusion that the one things kids really care for, is good food and Salman came up with the idea of providing the same for these kids."

Boney adds, "While there, Being Human and Salman have committed to supply a year's rations and we took two truck- loads of all the stuff for the kids. All of us carried a gunny bag each and carried it to the store room of the remand house. We took with us everything from rice to flour to pulses to grains. We are going to go there and supply the food every month now."

A few days back, Salman was in Jaipur for the promotion of Wanted and while there, he had visited a home for mentally challenged children. The actor, through his organisation, had also donated a cheque for five lakh rupees for the home.
