Salman Khan has been signed up to endorse the detergent Wheel. While many would have expected a female ambassador for the product, Salman has no qualms about promoting a product aimed at female consumers and one that does not boost his macho man image the way his other brands (Thums Up, Red Tape Shoes, Dollar vests) do. "I am extremely proud to be associated with one of India's oldest and most respectable brands. Wheel has become a household name, and has a glorious history of many years," says Salman.
Interestingly, his former friend Shah Rukh Khan had earlier endorsed the beauty soap Lux, which too was aimed at female customers.
