Rajkumar Santoshi has wrapped Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani and is already planning his next. The director wants to makeu00a0 a film based on Dr Asghar Wajahat's book Jis Lahore Nahin Dekhiya, O Jamian He Nahin.
He will soon be going on a recce across the country to decide locations for the shoot. Santoshi is also on the lookout for his principal and supporting cast.
Sallu in mind
A source reveals, "He has Salman in mind for the lead role and is talks with him.u00a0 The character requires someone who's strong yet vulnerable, which makes the role tailor-made for the actor. However, Khan hasn't reverted back to Santoshi. Only if Salman refuses the role, will Santoshi approach other actors.
He wants to believe that Sallu will accept the offer, since they have a good equation (they've worked together in Andaz Apna Apna in the past)."
It is still undecided who will play the female lead. Santoshi maintains, "I have not approached Salman for the film. I will make an announcement on my next project soon."

Jis Lahore Nahin Dekhiya, O Jamian He Nahin is a period film set against the backdrop of partition. The story revolves around a Hindu woman stuck in Lahore during separation. While her family members go missing, she stays back in Lahore and makes it her home.
Soon the house she's staying in is given over to a Muslim family who've moved there from Lucknow. In due course of time, the presence of a Hindu woman in the house irks the Muslims and they plan to throw her out.
