Actor is off to Haridwar to meet spiritual guru
The actor along with his father Pankaj Kapur has headed north for a pilgrimage.
The last few months have kept the actor busy with a couple of releases and movie promotions. Now that he doesn't have an impending shoot, Shahid has headed to Haridwar to meet his spiritual guru. The actor is extremely private about his holy trip and tries to visit his mentor whenever he has the time.
Talking about it, a source says, "Shahid is very spiritual and that's something very few people know about. In fact, before the start of a new project, he tries to visit his guru."
Shahid left on Thursday along with his dad. He plans to take a five-day break before returning back to Mumbai. A friend adds, "Shahid was introduced to his spiritual advisor during his Jab We Met days. Ever since, he's tried and visited him whenever possible. Apart from seeking personal advice, he also has learnt a few meditation techniques which he practises on a daily basis."
He even tweeted about his journey: "So in my flite heading off up north. On my quest for nirvana. Only worry about things that truly matter."
Shahid will return back to Mumbai and begin work onu00a0 pre-production for his dad's film.u00a0
