Rajneeti director Prakash Jha has finally revealed why he postponed his film's release date from May 28 to June 4. He did not want to compete with good friend Rakesh Roshan's film Kites, which is releasing on May 21. Jha and Roshan decided it would be in the best interests of everyone if there was a two-week gap between the two releases. This way, they will not eat into each other's business and multiplexes will not be confused about show timings for the two biggies of this year. No other big film was going to release after theirs till Raavan much later in the year, so there was no hurry to release Rajneeti. Now if only more producers showed such co-operation rather than thinking only about competition.
