Total Siyapaa (2014) director E Niwas is planning a remake of Raja Nawathe's 1965 thriller Gumnaam, which starred Manoj Kumar and Nanda. The film had Lata Mangeshkar sing the haunting title track, Gumnaam Hai Koi, which became a chartbuster. Niwas is said to have worked on the script. Casting is currently underway.
