Uday Chopra doesn't seem to be a superstitious sort. But now it has come to light that he is almost as obsessed with a stone, as Ekta Kapoor is with her red teeka.

Stone prayers
Uday picked up a stone from San Francisco a few years back. He believes it brings him good luck and makes all his wishes come true. During the Singa-pore schedule of PI, Uday often prayed to the stone to remove all the obstacles in his path.
The actor explains, "I am not superstitious. But I was in for a huge shock when all my wishes started coming true after praying to this stone." An ordinary rock has now become his lucky charm. "I saw a couple of stones in this shop in LA a few years back.
I was attracted to the way they looked and bought them. After that, I started keeping one stone in my pocket everywhere I went. It became a regular habit."
Uday claims that the stone even helped him in the casting, "The stone fell out of my trouser pocket when I went to meet Priyanka. I was quite embarrassed but it kind of broke the ice. It was a sweet coincidence though that I got Priyanka on board the project the very next minute."
Uday's good luck charm even worked wonders in clearing skies for him. "I remember we were in Singapore, and there was a South Indian film crew that couldn't shoot because of bad weather. I made a little prayer. It was unbelievable how the skies cleared up the next day. In fact my faith and belief in this stone kept increasing as my wishes started getting granted."
Smooth sailin'
However, Chopra is sad that he lost his lucky charm as he lost it on the last day of shoot. "I searched for it everywhere but it was nowhere to be found. I feel that it was meant to be with me just for that period. It helped me sail smoothly throughout the first schedule and then it just disappeared."
