Vivek Agnihotri has begun work on his next film, which is based on India's second Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. Yesterday, the filmmaker took to Twitter to make the announcement on the occasion of Shastri's 113th birth anniversary celebrations.

"On this day when India's most honest, successful and loved leader, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri was born, we begin the pre-production and casting of our film on his mysterious death in Tashkent," wrote Agnihotri. His last directorial venture was the Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam-starrer Junooniyat (2016).
