Amid rumours of a wedding on the cards, Aamir Khan has now publicly confirmed that he is set to marry his girlfriend, Gauri Spratt. The actor revealed the wedding date and also shared a few details about his upcoming wedding ceremony.
Speaking to the paparazzi at the screening of Pritam and Pedro, which is produced under Aamir Khan's production banner, the actor confirmed, "Haan, meri shaadi ho rahi hai. 5 July ko."
Further sharing that the wedding as an intimate affair, he added, "Bahut hi chhoti shaadi hai. Ghar pe hi kar rahe hain. Dono families hongi," as son Junaid Khan stood next to him smiling.
Just when he was talking to the paps, filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani arrived. Aamir warmly hugged him, after which the director congratulated the actor on the happy news.
Aamir then continued speaking to the paparazzi and said, "5 tareekh bahut hi khaas din hai hamare liye." He confirmed that it will be a private ceremony and revealed that only family members and a few close friends would be in attendance. Aamir then sought everyone's blessings on his new journey, saying, "Sabki duaayein chahenge hum log aur aap log blessings dijiye. Prarthana kariye ki achha safar rahe hamara."
Later, when Vicky Kaushal arrived for the screening and was asked about Aamir's wedding, he seemed surprised. When the paps told him that the actor had confirmed the news, Vicky said, "I just wish them all the best, so happy for them"
Aamir Khan shared that he met Gauri Spratt around 25 years ago but lost touch over the years. They reconnected years later through Aamir's cousin, Nuzhat Khan, when Gauri visited Mumbai a few years ago. Eventually, their friendship blossomed into love.
The couple has been dating for around 18 months. Aamir publicly introduced Gauri to the media on the occasion of his 60th birthday on March 13, 2025, sharing that the two were in a serious and committed relationship.
Notably, this will be Aamir Khan's third marriage after his first marriage to Reena Dutta in 1986, which ended in 2002. He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005 with whom he parted ways in 2021. He has three kids, namely Ira and Junaid with Reena, and a son Azad with Kiran. Meanwhile, Gauri also has a son from her previous marriage.
