Amit Kumar to sing in dad's biopic

Anurag Basu has finalised the male playback singer for hi biopic on Kishore Kumar. And it is none other than Amit Kumar, Kishore's eldest son.

Anurag Basu has finalised the male playback singer for his biopic on Kishore Kumar. And it is none other than Amit Kumar, Kishore's eldest son.

Apparently, Anurag decided on him after he saw Amit judging a music talent show in a Bengali channel. Anurag noticed that Amit has a marked resemblance to Kishore in expression and body language. That's when he decided to sign Amit for the film. Whether Amit will sing all the songs is yet to be confirmed.

This is the first time Amit will sing for Ranbir Kapoor, who is playing Kishore Kumar in the film. Earlier, Kishore's younger son Sumit had sung for Ranbir in Bachna Ae Haseeno.

Shooting for the yet to be titled film will begin sometime next year as Anurag is currently busy with his Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra starrer, Silence.

Amit Kumar, an established singer with several hit songs to his credit, most recently sang the song Dekha Jo Tujhe Yaar Dil Mein Baji Guitar in the film Apna Sapna Money Money.
