Are Preetika and Amrita Rao twins?

Amrita Rao's sister Preetika features in the upcoming TV show, Beintehaa. The on-going promos show her as a bride saying a firm no to marriage. The actress has featured in some South films and has done modelling earlier.

Strangely, she was in the past referred to as Preeta and not Preetika. Six years ago, the buzz that did the rounds was that Amrita and Preeta are twins. There was also gossip about her aspirations in Bollywood along with Amrita's.

When asked about her name, Preetika says, "I was also a film writer and contributed to several publications and websites in the South. Preeta is my pen name. My real name is Preetika." About the buzz about her being Amrita's twin she says presumably in jest, "We are triplets."

When the news had broken out, though Amrita had laughed it off, some of their school classmates had claimed that they were twins. The controversy died a natural death, but seeing Preetika back in the scheme of things has again brought the question to the fore.

Preetika featured in the Tamil film, Chikku Bukku, with Arya after the makers saw her picture in a gossip column. She has also apparently studied in the US to further hone her writing talent.u00a0
