Arjun Rampal throws a surprise birthday party for longtime friend Rahul Mittra on sets of Arjun Naga

Work is going full steam ahead for Arjun Rampal, who recently began filming the second schedule of Arjun Naga. But the actor, who plays the antagonist in director Anil Sharma's action drama, made sure he squeezed in some time during the shoot to celebrate actor-producer Rahul Mittra's birthday on October 13.

Mittra has been Rampal's long-time friend. Arjun Naga gave the two an opportunity to share screen space together. "I am currently shooting with the cast at a massive set in Film City. Arjun and the unit threw me a surprise party on the set. It was a hectic shoot; we rolled at 6 am. Right after pack-up at 6 pm, Arjun announced on the mic, ‘Come Rahulji, let's celebrate your birthday' and smudged cake all over my face," shared Mittra, who plays a Balochi gangster in the film that has Utkarsh Sharma essaying the titular role.

Their bond, Mittra revealed, began when they were working on Daddy (2017). He recalled, "Arjun and I met when he was finishing Daddy, on which I was a presenter and P&A [Promotion & Advertising] partner. We hit it off. When Arik was born, I was one of the first people to visit them in the hospital. After Dhurandhar [2025], his popularity has soared, but our relationship stands unaffected."
