Here's a dekho at how the nationwide strike affected actors. While some rejoiced and enjoyed the break, for the rest it was work as usual

Shilpa Shetty:
"I was shooting for an ad during the bandh. The morning shift had to be cancelled since the technicians couldn't reach ufffd no transport. So we shifted the shooting to 7 pm and shot till 2 am this morning. I had no choice since I'm leaving town on July 8."

Tusshar Kapoor: "My new film for Rajshri Production was to start on Monday. Because of the bandh, it will start now from Tuesday."

Hema Malini: "Though Iu00a0 support the bandh, it has affected all of India and has affected meu00a0 as well. I was to have a meeting with my production teamu00a0 foru00a0 theu00a0 completion ofu00a0 my daughter's filmu00a0 Tell Me Oh Khuda. A music sitting also got cancelled."

Madhur Bhandarkar: "My new film Dil To Bachcha Hai Jee was supposed to start on Monday. But when we came to know of the bandh, we postponed it by a day to Tuesday."

Bipasha Basu: "I'm shooting in Diu. It's all pretty quiet down here. So I am not personally affected. But I believe life came to a standstill in other parts of the country."

Neha Dhupia: "I'll only know how much I'm affected by the bandh at the end of the day. I'm supposed to take a flight out."

Nikhil Advani: "I was in my office editing Patiala House. So, thankfully, the bandh did not affect my normal activity."

Sonu Sood: "Since I had to travel to South Mumbai, I couldn't step out of my home to go for the dubbing of my movie, Dabangg. In spite of personal inconvenience, I believe the bandh was worth it, if it can bring any changes."

Shahana Goswami: "A friend's father is in the hospital and we had to take turns visiting. Luckily, the hospital is a ten-minute walk from my home. The hospital is functional but obviously short-staffed. For those who have to travel during the bandh, it's a pain. I think it's ridiculous. For the sake of protesting against inflation, they're causing the national exchequer so much loss. The bandh is an inconvenience to all except politicians trying to make their presence felt."
