Filmmaker Kabir Khan has announced his next project will be a web series, which is likely to chronicle the story of Subhas Chandra Bose's Indian National Army

Filmmaker Kabir Khan has announced his next project will be a web series, which is likely to chronicle the story of Subhas Chandra Bose's Indian National Army.

Tentatively titled The Forgotten Army, which was also the name of a documentary that Kabir made in 1996, theinternational mini-series for Amazon Prime Video will be set against the World War II.

"Ever since I did that documentary, there was so much I experienced and saw, which was much more than what went into the documentary. I always wanted to make a big feature aboutthis subject," Kabir told reporters. "This is the story which made me want to be a filmmaker. This is the one story I have to tell. After every film, I used to bring out the idea of forgotten army, keep writing the screenplay. It's finally happening," he added.

The war-epic series will be an eight episode original show, going on floors post the release of his Salman Khan-starrer Tubelight. The superstar has been paired with Chinese actress Zhu Zhu in the film set against the backdrop of the 1962 Sino-Indian War.
