In choreographer Shabina Khan's words, Salman Khan's songs are usually "fast and filled with masti". That's exactly why Main Hoon Reprise, the latest song from Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace, stands out. The track sees leading lady Chitrangda Singh yearning for her husband, essayed by the superstar.

"Shooting the song in black-and-white was Salman bhai's idea, but the storytelling is mine," smiled Shabina, before adding, "It's a different choreographic approach focused on emotion, stillness, and storytelling rather than hook steps."

Shabina was shooting for Sooraj Barjatya's film when Salman called her for the song. It was an instant yes from the choreographer. She recalled, "I was roped in at the last minute. We shot it in two days at Mehboob Studios, Bandra. Initially, we had conceived the song in colour and black-and-white. [The idea was] when the love of her life is not there, all the colours fade away, and when she thinks of him, her life becomes colourful again. After we discussed it, Salman bhai suggested shooting it entirely in black-and-white. He was completely involved."
