Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has been taking his music to audiences across the world, but a concert in Bihar remains something he has yet to achieve. The singer recently opened up about why his plans to perform in the state did not materialise, revealing that concerns over crowd management and responsibility for public safety became a major hurdle. His remarks came during an Instagram Live session following the Delhi leg of his AURA India Tour 2026.
During the Instagram Live session, Diljit recalled that his team had previously attempted to organise a concert in Bihar. However, the plans reportedly fell through after concerns were raised about managing the large audience expected at the event. Explaining the situation, the singer said, "We tried to go to Bihar; we had attempted to go to Bihar last time as well. But they said it was difficult to manage the crowd. They asked if we would take responsibility for it. I said that we couldn't; they would have to take that responsibility. Since they didn't, we couldn't go."
He further explained that managing thousands of concertgoers was not a small responsibility, considering the arrangements required for an event of that scale. "You see, it's difficult to manage the crowd. It's not just a small gathering; it's a massive crowd. I had to consider the logistics; it's like organising an event in Delhi," he added. The singer's comments also highlighted why Bihar could not be included in his recent concert plans, despite his interest in performing there.
Diljit's comments came shortly after he kicked off the India leg of his AURA Tour 2026 with a performance at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 30. The concert had faced uncertainty ahead of its scheduled date after Delhi Police initially withheld permission, citing security concerns and festive-season law-and-order arrangements. The event eventually received clearance after additional arrangements were addressed. Speaking about the challenges, Diljit said, "We did the Delhi concert. It was tough. A lot of people tried to stop it, but we still did it." He also praised the Delhi Police and CRPF for helping the concert take place.
Following his Delhi performance, Diljit is scheduled to take the AURA India Tour 2026 to several other cities, including Chandigarh, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Indore. However, the singer has not announced any fresh dates or venues for Bihar. For now, fans in the state will have to wait for an official announcement.
